Our 18-hole Championship Course, was created in 1958. Designed amidst 170 acres of gently rolling terrain, the golf course, with its tree-lined fairways and strategically placed greens, provides a
challenge for every level of golfer. The scenic water holes add to the aesthetics of the course and create an integral theme as water comes into play on seven different holes. Our tenth hole over
water, is generally acclaimed as one of the more challenging par 3's in the GTA. The course features 47 bunkers, with 38 enveloping the greens. Doglegs are commonplace. No fewer than seven holes
require you either to draw or fade your drive around a tree-lined or bunker-laden corner of the fairway.
Try our popular 9-hole short course. Find out more about Fox Run here.

Hunters' Glen - 4th Hole
The 488-yard 4th hole is the first par 5 you will encounter on the golf course. A narrow fairway, tree-lined on both
sides, leaves you with no alternative but to play down the middle toward the 150-yard marker.
Regardless of whether you intend to lay up or reach the green in two, be aware of the pond
inconspicuously nestled in the valley 140 yards in front of the green.
On your approach to the green, watch for the bunker on the back left.

Hunters' Glen - 8th Hole
The 383 yard 8th hole is arguably the most intimidating par 4 on the golf
course. From the tee, a small lake looms directly in front, offering you no choice but to hit one of your most accurate drives of the day.
Factor in the frequent headwinds and you will
quickly understand why this hole instills fear into the minds of even the best players. Once safely on the other side, a mid-iron approach to a large, downward sloping green is all that remains.

Hunters' Glen - 10th Hole
The back nine begins with the signature hole of the golf course. Measuring 169 yards, the 10th hole is the shortest par
3 at Hunters' Glen, but don't let the yardage fool you. Your approach to this long and narrow green is one of the most challenging shots you will hit all day.
From the tee, an elevated green
awaits on the other side of a large (and distracting) pond. The saddle-shaped green is often the host of many difficult pin placements and is responsible for more than the occasional three-putt.

Hunters' Glen - 16th Hole
The 480 yard 16th hole is a thought provoking par 5 as most players will consider going for the green on their second shot. Play conservatively and a par is easily
attainable. Incorporate some risk into your game and the rewards can be great, as reaching the green in two is realistic for the long-ball hitter.
Off the tee, play to the right side of the
fairway being sure to avoid the bunker strategically located at the corner of this slight dogleg left. A decent and well positioned drive will leave you approximately 200 yards away from a large and
accommodating green. For the first of three excellent finishing holes, the 16th is well suited to players with a "go for it" approach to the game.

COURSE PLAYING TIPS
Hole #1 - off the tee, aim for the fairway bunker straight ahead of you, on the left side of the fairway. Do not try to cut the corner and go over the trees. The prevailing winds
on the course will always push your ball further than you expect. Once in those trees on the right, you will never get out!
Hole #2 - off the tee, use an iron, not a wood.
This fairway is narrow and the trees on both sides leave very little room for error. Better one extra club length on your iron from the middle of the fairway on this short par-4 than a Hail Mary from
deep in the woods!
Hole #3 - check the wind strength. It is usually strong and in your face on this hole. This hole is longer than it looks!
Hole #9
- off the tee, stay to the left on the fairway. The right side is heavily sloped towards the pond and will cost you extra strokes and headaches!
Hole #11 - on your approach
shot to the green, try to land ahead of it and roll it up. The green is a convex mound that usually doesn’t hold very well. If you end up short of the green, it’s OK, trust us, it is easier to chip
on from the front than from the back in the middle of the cedars!
Hole #14 - there are two things to watch for. If you don’t know it all ready, there is water at the bottom
of the valley ahead of you. Also, that beautiful willow to your left has a tendency to snare anything that tries to go through it!
Hole #17 - off the tee, stay to the
right on the fairway. It is a difficult second shot if you're on the left side trying to hit through the big old tree between you and the green. This tree-lined fairway is narrow, and for novice
golfers, it is no time to get brave, put away the driver and use the most accurate iron in your bag!
TIPS FOR NOVICE GOLFERS
If you are within one stroke of doubling the par for the hole and you have not reached the green,
please pick up your ball, proceed directly to the green and place it within one club length of the hole.
If you are having problems keeping pace we suggest playing from the red tees or at
less busier hours until your game has improved.
Lessons are available through our Pro Shop at reasonable rates. They will help you enjoy your next round of golf much more.
At Hunter’s
Glen, novice golfers are just as valuable a customer as experienced golfers, thus it is always our pleasure to answer any questions you may have.
TIMESAVER TIPS
plan your shot and select your club while you approach your ball
take your practice swing while others are hitting
never record your scores while on or near the green, do it at the next tee instead
leave your bag or cart to the side or back of the green closest to the next tee
carry an extra ball
and tee in your pocket
track the ball of others in your group to help find errant shots quicker
while near the green take your putter along with your chipping or pitching clubs
line
up your putt while others are putting, without disturbing them of course
bring extra clubs with you to hit your ball so you don’t have to return to the cart if you change your mind about club
selection
if you think your shot may be lost, immediately hit a provisional ball before going to look for your first ball
never spend more than two minutes looking for a lost
ball
